Representatives of regional companies on Tuesday concluded a four-day business mission to India, where they held more than 50 discussions and meetings with potential trade partners.

"The main point is that we saw mutual interest on the part of the Indian side and their willingness to cooperate, as well as drafted further plans to promote our products on the Indian market. [This] provided the first results – we've already received orders, trial batches and joint projects offers],” Dmitry Yalov, chairman of the Committee on Economic Development and Investment Activity of the Saint Petersburg region, said.

As a result of the business mission, regional exporters reached an agreement on the trial supply of sprayed waterproofing materials, finely granulated crumb rubber, hovercraft engines, and details for their construction in India and further exploitation.
“The current plans of the two sides include holding a business meeting with representatives of the Indian companies in the first quarter of 2023. It has been agreed upon with General Consulates of the both countries, as well as with the representative office of the Russian Export Center.
The business mission to India was organized by the Center of Industrial Development of the Saint Petersburg region under the 'International Cooperation and Export' initiative.
