Delhi State Chief and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that he will be leaving for Vipassana meditation and returning to Delhi on January 1, 2023.
He also advised people to try it once, as it has mental, physical and spiritual benefits.
In a tweet in Hindi, the AAP chief said: “Today, I am going for Vipassana meditation. I try and go for it once a year. I will return on January 1. Around 100 years ago, Lord Buddha taught this knowledge. Have you practiced Vipassana? If not, you should definitely do it once. It has a lot of physical, mental and spiritual benefits. Good luck to all.”

He, however, didn't specify where he will be practicing the meditation.
The Delhi State Chief went to Igatpuri in Maharashtra in 2016 and to Dharamkot in Himachal Pradesh in 2017 to practise Vipassana for 10 days.
Prior to that, he also took a break to practice Vipassana after campaigning for the 2014 parliamentary polls.
Vipassana is an ancient Indian meditation technique in which a practitioner abstains from any communication, either by talking or via gestures, for an extended period to restore their mental well-being.
