It is too early to say whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the G20 summit in India, everything will depend on his schedule, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said on Monday.
"It's hard to talk about it yet. Everything depends on the president's schedule," Rudenko said, answering the question whether Putin will take part in the G20 summit in India.
Former Indian ambassador to Russia Bala Venkatesh Varma told Sputnik that New Delhi hopes for President Putin to take part in G20 summit that will take place in New Delhi on September 9-10.
Earlier, a picture of Putin appeared among the list of G20 leaders for the New Delhi summit.

The Russian leader skipped the latest G20 summit in Bali, which Indonesia said it respects, given that Putin “had a reason to stay in the capital and we understand that.”

New Delhi earlier made clear it would work with Russia under India's presidency in the grouping.
