Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to hospital suffering from bronchitis, Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital revealed on Friday.
The 76-year-old leader of India's main opposition party is the mother of parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi and the party's general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
She was admitted to hospital on Thursday because of a fever, and now her condition is stable, the hospital said in an official statement.
Earlier in January, she was admitted to hospital for the treatment of a viral respiratory infection.
