A Pakistani "intruder" was arrested while crossing the border to enter India through Punjab state, a Border Security Force (BSF) spokesman told Indian media on Friday.
During the night of 9-10 March, the intruder entered India from the Tirath border post in Punjab's Ferozepur sector, the official revealed. After being asked where he lived, the interloper told the officers that he was a resident of the Khyber district of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In the past three days, three intruders - two from Pakistan and one from Bangladesh - have been arrested by security forces in India's Punjab state. On the night of 8-9 March, a Bangladeshi national was arrested while trying to enter India via the Rajatal border post.

On Thursday, a man, identified as Aamir Raza, hailing from Sialkot district of Pakistan was also seized from the Nikka border post in the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab.
