Several people are reportedly feared trapped after the roof of a potato cold storage collapsed in the Sambhal district of India's Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night.
At least 8 people are dead, according to media reports.
The officials are using sniffer dogs to search for the people trapped in the debris.
Superintendent of Police, Sambhal District, Chakresh Mishra told media that First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the owners identified as Ankur Agarwal and Rohit Agarwal, who are on the run while four people have been detained for questioning.
The initial investigation report has revealed that the godown was already in a dilapidated condition and the portion of the collapsed cold storage was constructed some time ago without following the laid down standards.
