A video of a pet dog falling prey to a wild leopard on the prowl outside a home in the Hinjewadi InfoTech Park area of India's Pune city has gone viral, leaving residents and netizens terrified and panicked.
The incident, which took place on Tuesday, shows the canine tied to a leash outside the house sleeping when suddenly a prowling leopard approaches the dog and pounces on it.

In a separate video, the leopard can be seen sinking it jaws into the canine and dragging the dog away.
Frequent incidents have caused panic among local residents of the Hinjewadi InfoTech Park area as well as villagers who lament that despite several complaints about the rise in leopard attacks, the forest department is not doing anything to trap it.
