Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday tried her hand at making dosas at a hotel in Mysuru city of India's Karnataka state while campaigning for her party ahead of the upcoming legislative assembly polls.
Vadra, sister to former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, was joined by other politicians, including the party’s state unit chief D.K. Shivakumar and parliamentarian Randeep Singh Surjewala.
In a video making the rounds on social media, she can be seen in the hotel kitchen interacting with the staff and flipping dosas.
Sharing the video on her Twitter account, Vadra said that she enjoyed making dosas with the owners of Mylari Hotel and that she can’t wait to bring her daughter to Mysuru to try the dosas there.
Meanwhile, Congress also shared the video on its official Twitter account and said: “Perfect dosas are just the beginning; with such skillful hands, there's no limit to the power they can bring to the world.”
Vadra is on a two-day visit to Karnataka to campaign for her party. She reached Mysuru on Tuesday where she addressed a public meeting.
She also held a massive roadshow in Krishnarajanagara, where she was greeted by a big crowd.
While addressing the gathering after the roadshow, the Congress politician urged people to change the government in Karnataka.
“For the sake of your future, vote for Congress and bringing in a new government which will usher in a new hope in Karnataka,” she said.
Vadra also interacted with women in Hanur town in the Chamarajanagar district in person and tried to understand their concerns. She urged the women voters not to take the election lightly, and said that it is important for the future of their children and youth.
Elections in Karnataka are slated for May 10, and the results will be out on May 13.
