In a tribute to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to express their devotion and faith towards him, a temple is all set to be built next to the temple of late Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the hills of Satyanarayan in Madhya Pradesh state's Gwalior city.
National President of Akhil Bharatiya Yuva Abhishek Manch, Vijay Singh Chauhan, told the Indian press that for carving PM Modi's Idol, a famous sculptor has been brought in who is already in the completion stage.
Once the Modi temple is ready, the daily worshipping ritual is going to take place which will include lighting wicks soaked in ghee (clarified butter) and reciting prayers and chants, Chauhan said.
This is not the first time that a temple of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being built.
Back in 2021, a 37-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker and real state agent, Mayur Munde, built a small temple for PM Modi costing around INR 160,000 ($1,946) in the Aundh area of Maharashtra's Pune city.
However, after receiving criticism from the opposition party, the temple was shut down after the day of its inauguration.
