The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a massive outreach campaign starting from 30 May to mark the completion of nine years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led federal government.
The outreach program will start on 30 May and conclude on 30 June, covering all parliamentary constituencies across the country.
According to media reports, the campaign will be launched by Modi himself.
As part of the campaign, public meetings will be held in all 396 parliamentary seats where at least one federal minister or national official of the party will be present. At least 51 rallies of senior BJP politicians have also been planned across the country.
Along with this, several rallies are also planned in poll-bound states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
As part of the campaign, the party workers and politicians will highlight the welfare policies and achievements of the Modi-led federal government.
States to Each Launch Unique Programs
While talking to Sputnik, a source from the BJP, on condition of anonymity, said that the party’s national president, J.P. Nadda, has asked all state units to hold working committee meetings and make plans particularly for their states.
“The state units will be submitting their plans by 22 May and then the program will be finalised. The program will be almost the same across the country, but will differ a bit as per the states due to difference in the audience”, the source said.
Per initial information, 100,000 specific families, including 250 in every parliamentary constituency, along with the families of influential people such as sportspersons, artists, industrialists, and war heroes will be contacted across the country.
Press conferences all over India will be held on May 29 and state chiefs, deputy state chiefs, federal ministers, leaders of the opposition, and other senior politicians will hold press conferences in state capitals.
Apart from this, party workers have been asked to conduct other programs from 1 to 22 June, under which press conferences in every parliamentary constituency, congregations of eminent persons, meeting social media influencers, businessperson conferences, etc. will be organized.
Modi will also be interacting with party workers at one million booths on 23 June, which also marks the death anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Mukherjee, who was the founder of the Janata Party - which later on became the Bharatiya Janata Party.
From 20 to 30 June, the party has planned to conduct a house-to-house campaign and a “missed call campaign”.
