Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday announced that the grain deal had been extended for two more months and thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for supporting Ankara's grain deal initiatives.
The Russian side has yet to confirm the development.
Russia has criticised the deal for failing to ensure fair distribution of food and fertilizer exports and for shipping the lion's share to developed countries, not those in need.
