Russia to Produce Over 40 Superjet New Aircraft by 2026

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will produce 18 MC-21 aircraft and more than 40 new-generation Sukhoi Superjet aircraft by 2026.

This was shared by Andrey Boginsky, UAC deputy director general for civil aviation, in a conversation with Sputnik.

"We have a comprehensive program for the development of civil aviation. This is a clear plan of action, which is divided into stages. The first stage is 2023-2025. During this period, we have to produce 18 MC-21 aircraft (six in 2024, 12 in 2025) and more than 40 Superjet New aicraft, import substituted," Boginsky said.

He stressed the work was proceeding in line with the schedule.

SSJ100 to Get Cutting-Edge Collision Avoidance Systems

The first domestic collision-avoidance systems (CWS) are planned to be installed on Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft by the end of 2023, Sergey Baburov, CEO of the Navigator development corporation, said on Tuesday.
In May 2022, Baburov told Sputnik that Russia had created the first exclusively domestic air-collision-warning system for all types of aircraft, including:
the Il-96,
the Superjet,
the Il-14,
the MC-21, and others.
Prior to this, all planes were equipped with TCAS system designed by the US-based Collins Aerospace, basically the global monopolist in this sphere.
