Cine-lovers of Varanasi -- the oldest city in India's Uttar Pradesh state -- are in for a cinematic treat as the three-day Russian Film Festival begins on Friday at JHV Cinemas.
The Russian Film Festival, a first for the city, will give a fascinating glimpse into the world of Russian cinema that will entertain cine-goers to the hilt.

The Adventures Of Chuck and Huck (25 August, 6.30 p.m.)
Directed by Alexander Kott, the 2022 family adventure film "The Adventures Of Chuck and Huck" revolves around two friendly but mischievous brothers who go on an exciting journey to the mysterious Blue Mountains to unite with their father, who works in the Far North, and celebrate New Year together.
My Sweet Monster (26 August at 1 p.m.)
"My Sweet Monster", directed by Viktor Glukhushin and Maxim Volkov in 2021, is an animated family film that centres on the captivating tale of Princess Varvara, who breaks free from the confines of the palace and goes on an adventure into the mystical forest to find her true prince. However, she gets captured by the most dangerous bandit in the kingdom, Buka.
My Life On Fast-Forward (26 August at 7 p.m.)
This fantasy comedy directed by Nikita Vladimirov in 2022, focuses on a man, Maxim, who becomes so consumed with his work that he does not notice the most important things in his life. On the anniversary of meeting his girlfriend and after an unexpected argument with an unusual taxi driver, a series of inexplicable events begin to happen in his life.
Terrible Dad (27 August, 1 p.m.)
Directed by Karen Oganesyan and Yuri Korobeinikov in 2022, the film "Terible Dad" is a fantasy comedy. Having argued with his son, Tsar Ivan the Terrible accidentally wounds him. He then travels to the past with the help of a magical book to fix the mistake. However, something goes wrong.

"Strict Regime Parents", directed by Nikita Vladimirov in 2022, is a comedy about re-education.
