The three-day Russian Film Festival kicked off for the first time in Uttar Pradesh state's Varanasi city with a spectacular opening ceremony at JHV Cinemas.
Inaugurated by the mayor of Varanasi, Ashok Tiwari, alongside a Russian delegation, the festival not only aims to showcase the captivating world of Russian cinema and culture, but also promises to entertain the audience to the hilt.

Many cinema lovers, film critics, and producers turned up in large numbers to watch the opening film The Adventures of Chuck and Huck.
Directed by Alexander Kott, the film revolves around two friendly but mischievous brothers who go on an exciting journey to the mysterious Blue Mountains to unite with their father, who works in the Far North, and celebrate New Year together.
On Saturday, two films - My Sweet Monster and My Life On Fast-Forward - were screened.
On the last day of the film festival, tomorrow, two more films will be screened - Terrible Dad at 1 p.m. and Strict Regime Parents at 7 p.m.
