Two Ukrainian drones have been shot down by the air defense systems over the Bryansk Region of Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"Tonight, another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the Russian Federation was thwarted. Two UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces on duty over the territory of the Bryansk region," the ministry said.
Later in the day, the ministry said that air defense also shot down a Ukrainian drone flying towards the Russian capital over the Moscow Region.
"On August 28, at about 04:30 Moscow time [01:30 GMT], air defense forces prevented another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on the territory of the Russian Federation using an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle. The UAV was destroyed by air defense means over the territory of the Lyuberetsky District of the Moscow region," the ministry said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin added that there were no injuries or damage as a result of the drone crash.
