India is actively discussing with Russia the possibility of building a small modular nuclear facility, including floating power units, head of Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, said on Tuesday.
"The Indian side is actively discussing with us issues of ... [small modular] nuclear facilities, including floating ones, and the creation of research nuclear reactors," Likhachev told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
The 8th Eastern Economic Forum is underway on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, running from September 10-13.
The EEF is a key international venue for creating and strengthening ties between Russian and global investment communities, and serves as a platform to comprehensively assess, on an expert level, the economic potential of Russia's Far East.
