The conclusion of the 2023 Asian Junior Chess Championship (Open and Girls) took place on Friday in the city of Jamshedpur, India, as Aleksey Grebnev emerged victorious by defeating S. Aswath from India in an exhilarating final match.
The 17-year-old Grebnev won the gold medal after scoring seven out of nine points, while S. Aswath took the silver.
Rohith Krishna S from India won bronze Rohith Krishna S from India secured the bronze medal with a score of 6.5 points.
The Open event saw 58 players, while 52 contenders participated in the Girls' section.
The Girls' tournament was won by G. Tejaswini from India with 7.5 points, while M. Bristy finished second with 7 points.
