The highly anticipated Canadian tour of the legendary Punjabi singer Gurdas Mann, titled 'Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan', which was originally planned for October 22 to 31, unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the intensifying tensions between India and Canada.
Tour organisers have issued a statement saying the decision is the "most responsible and necessary course of action".
Gurjit Bal, promoter of the tour, said that entry fees would be refunded and that new dates would be announced soon.

Last month, Canada-based Punjabi artist Shubhneet Singh, also known as Shubh, faced the cancellation of his 'Still Rollin India Tour' for allegedly supporting Khalistani separatists.
Gurjit Bal, the tour's promoter, said that tickets would be refunded and that new dates would be announced soon.
On September 20th, Book My Show, a ticket booking platform, announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the highly-anticipated India tour of the talented singer Shub has unfortunately been cancelled. However, they went above and beyond to ensure the utmost satisfaction of their valued consumers by promptly initiating a full refund for all those who had purchased his tickets.
A day earlier, electronics brand Boat abruptly withdrew its sponsorship of Shubh's India tour.
