Russia is interested in finding out the joint stance of Arab states on the Israel-Palestine settlement and will support it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
Following talks with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah AlJaber Al-Sabah in Moscow, Lavrov said that they discussed initiatives that were put forward and will be implemented in the coming days, including the holding of the Arab League summit and the Arab-African summit on the Gaza issue.
"In this case, it will be fundamentally important for us to find out the opinion, the common opinion — I am sure it will be the common opinion — of the Arab world," Lavrov told a joint press conference, adding that Russia "will support the 'Arab solution' on this complex issue."
