Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has condemned Israeli strikes on Gaza and drew a historical comparison.
He also demanded that the ongoing Israel's offensive against Gaza must be stopped immediately.
"Unfortunately, the people who claim to be the followers of (Prophet) Moses are following the path of pharaohs," he was quoted as saying by the media reports.
Kakar made the remarks while addressing the 16th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The Pakistani leader also insisted that all ECO member states immediately rally behind Palestinians to get the war stopped and to encourage the humanitarian corridor to help the "unfortunate" and "defenseless" people of Palestine.
"The incessant and lethal bombardments of Gaza by the Israeli forces is a deplorable act, which calls for international condemnation. This issue needs to be addressed in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) resolutions," the media reports quoted him.
