The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s statement over the Supreme Court’s verdict, which upheld the 2019 revocation of article 370 of the constitution, has been rejected by India, with Delhi saying the reaction was "ill informed and ill intended."
Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, slammed the OIC’s approach towards the issue.
“India rejects the statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on a judgement of the Indian Supreme Court. It is both ill informed and ill intended,” Bagchi said.
He also claimed the OIC is a "serial violater of human rights and an unrepentant promoter of cross border terrorism” makes it's opinion even more "questionable" due to a lack of "credibility". Bagchi did not name any specific member country for his accusations.
