Yuri Borisov, General Director of Roscosmos stated in an interview with the Pro Cosmos portal that meetings between the Russian space agency and representatives of the space departments of BRICS countries suggest that member states are interested in coordinating space activities.
“The latest meetings with colleagues from the space agencies of BRICS countries, which we held in South Africa, indicate that all BRICS countries are very interested in coordinating activities and combining all efforts in the provision of space services,” Borisov said.
He also sees China as Russia's main partner in long-term space exploration projects.
“I believe that Russia's competencies, particularly in the field of nuclear space energy, will be in demand for this project. Our Chinese colleagues have shown interest in joining up with us on this particular aspect," he elaborated.
