Russian President's Inauguration Scheduled for May 7: State Duma Source

The inauguration of the Russian president will be held on 7 May, and on 8 May the State Duma will consider the appointment of the chairman of the Russian government, a source in the State Duma told Sputnik.

According to Article 82 of the law "On the Election of the President of the Russian Federation", the elected president of the Russian Federation takes office after the expiration of 6 years from the date of inauguration of the president of the Russian Federation elected in the previous election. Russian President Vladimir Putin took office as head of state on 7 May 2018.
"The inauguration of the president will be held on 7 May, and on 8 May the Duma will consider the appointment of the prime minister," the source said.
