Indian Navy Ships Reach Singapore for Eastern Fleet Deployment in South China Sea

The Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy have maintained strong relations for over three decades, marked by cooperation, coordination and collaboration with regular visits and the exchange of best practices.

Singaporean sailors have welcomed three visiting Indian navy ships to the south-east Asian city state.
Indian Naval Ships INS Delhi, INS Shakti, and INS Kiltan received a rousing reception from personnel of the Republic of Singapore Navy and the High Commissioner of India in Singapore as they arrived for the Indian Navy's Eastern Fleet's Operational Deployment to the South China Sea.
Led by Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, Fleet Commander at the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF), the operation aims to enhance maritime security cooperation and strengthen the existing bond between the two countries, while also showcasing India's commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
This deployment includes a series of coordinated exercises and interactions with the High Commission of India, professional coordination with the Republic of Singapore Navy and other partner navies in the region, along with engagement with academia and community outreach.
