The Indian athletes are ready to take on the fierce competition as they arrive in Russia's Kazan city to represent India and compete in the highly anticipated BRICS Games 2024 starting from Wednesday.
The tournament includes Rhythmic Gymnastics, Fencing, Synchronized Swimming, Judo, Diving, Badminton, Karate, Wrestling, Sambo, Wushu, Koresh Belt Wrestling and other thrilling competitions.
India's Tennis, Table Tennis, and Rowing squad have also arrived in Kazan to participate in the BRICS Games 2024.

While three karate players, Johny Mangkhiya, Abab Sangdo, and Mesom Singhi, have been shortlisted from Arunachal Pradesh state, a 16-member Indian Wushu team, including the only athlete, Surya Bhanu Partap Singh (Asian Games Medalist), from Jammu and Kashmir participating in the Games at Kazan, have also flown to Kazan to compete at the global arena.

The event provides an excellent opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their skills and foster friendly relations among other nations.
A total of 387 sets of awards will be presented to the winners at the 2024 BRICS Games in Russia.
Russian gymnastics, Yana Batyrshina, who won silver medalist at the 1996 Olympic Games, and the Turkish football sensation, Gokdeniz Karadeniz, known for his midfield prowess with Russia's Kazan Rubin football club, have been named the ambassadors of the 2024 BRICS Games in Russia.
