For the first time, the Indian Army and Air Force have successfully paradropped the Arogya Maitri Health Cube, used in emergency medical care, at 15,000 feet in Ladakh.

These cubes, which are used for treatment in extremely critical conditions, have been developed indigenously. They can be delivered to inaccessible areas via parachute and can be made functional immediately.
According to information received from sources, the Air Force dropped them by parachute to the designated place using C130-J aircraft, which is used in special operations.
This type of trauma care is very much needed in the high altitude and harsh environment of Ladakh where natural disasters keep occurring. It is sometimes very difficult to take the soldiers living or deployed here to the hospital on time. In such circumstances, this facility will prove to be a lifesaver in saving their lives.
