EAM Jaishankar has outlined how, despite shifting global dynamics since 1945, India-Russia relationship has remained a cornerstone of India's foreign policy, particularly in terms of national security and economic cooperation.
"As a major power of the Eurasian landmass, Russia has long held importance for India's foreign policy," Jaishankar said, reflecting on the historical significance of the bilateral ties. "Despite all the ups and downs that the world has seen since 1945, this is actually one relationship that has largely held steady."
The minister emphasized Russia's consistent role in India's national security strategy over the decades, describing it as a key player in shaping India’s geopolitical outlook.
