Ukrainian troops occupied the village of Ruske Porechno. They threatened to shoot local residents if they left their homes. This information was given by a local resident Alexander Sankov, whose father was killed by Ukrainian soldiers.
"My father said that Ukrainian soldiers were everywhere—wherever I went, they were there. He warned me not to leave the house, saying that if I stepped outside again, they would shoot me," Sankov recounted.
The chief of staff of the Russian Sever Group’s motorized rifle unit, known by the call sign "Vostok," reported that the bodies of the civilians killed in Ruskoye Porechnoye showed gunshot wounds to their ankles, and one man's head had been severely crushed.
He added that as Russian soldiers attempted to recover the bodies, Ukrainian forces launched mortar attacks and also deployed FPV drones in the assault.
