Earlier in the day, the official said that 74 drones flying towards Moscow had been downed.
"The most massive attack of enemy UAVs on Moscow has been repelled. Hundreds of combat drones have been shot down at various places. Thanks to the air defence forces of the Aerospace Forces of the Ministry of Defence for their excellent work," Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.
Meanwhile, Russian air defence systems have shot down and intercepted 337 Ukrainian drones over the country's territory overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.
"During the past night, air defence systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 337 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 91 UAVs over the territory of the Moscow Region, 126 UAVs over the territory of the Kursk Region, 38 UAVs over the territory of the Bryansk Region, 25 UAVs over the territory of the Belgorod Region, 22 UAVs over the territory of the Ryazan Region, 10 UAVs over the territory of the Kaluga Region, eight UAVs over the territory of the Lipetsk Region, eight UAVs over the territory of the Oryol Region, six UAVs over the territory of the Voronezh Region and three UAVs over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," the ministry said in a statement.
