"The Veterans reconnaissance and assault brigade and the Vostok assault brigade of the Volunteer Battalion, together with units of the 11th Airborne Brigade, the 72nd Motorised Rifle Brigade, and the Akhmat special forces Aida group, performed a bypass maneuver of the armed forces of Ukraine group in Sudzha in the Kursk region, using a gas pipeline pipe and setting up an underground passage behind enemy lines. The industrial zone in Sudzha has been liberated, and fighting is underway in the private sector," the statement read.
The enemy is suffering losses and chaotically retreating in the direction of Zaoleshenka settlement to the international automobile checkpoint Sudzha, the statement said.
New Russian units and units reinforced with armored vehicles are being deployed to build on the success and consolidate the results of the maneuver, the Volunteer Battalion said.
"The enemy is abandoning populated areas. A large-scale combined arms operation continues," the soldiers said, adding that, a large-scale offensive is coming from several directions at once.
