Mark Carney, a key figure in the race, has pledged to cut taxes for the middle class, promote domestic trade, and overhaul Canada's economy.
"Trump poses a threat to our sovereignty – he wants to undermine us. We won’t let that happen," Carney declared.
His primary challenger, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, officially launched his campaign for the April 28 election, presenting a “Canada First” agenda. Poilievre criticized Carney, calling him a mere replacement chosen by Justin Trudeau and suggesting he was ill-prepared to confront Trump effectively.
