"The process of clearing mines [from the airport's territory] is planned to begin in the spring already. This is also due to weather conditions - there are regulations by which this work is planned: examination, mines clearing and then the specialists' work," Pushilin said.
Only preliminary preparatory work is planned to be carried out in 2025, the DPR head noted.
"Restoration works are not planned this year, since we need to understand what we are going to do with the runway and what condition it is in. There are a number of examinations ahead," Pushilin said.
He specified that it is necessary to remove the rubble from the old structures. The construction workers' task is also to understand how to complete the work and come up with ideas for what the airport should look like in the future, Pushilin added.
