More than 100 bikers participated in the rally, including citizens from Russia, Belarus, and India. Leading the procession were motorcycles carrying the Victory Banner and flags to honour the anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The rally began at the gates of the Russian Embassy in India, passed through the centre of the Indian capital, and concluded at the Russian House in New Delhi, where a photo exhibition titled "Motorcycles in the Service of the Soviet Army" was held, along with a screening of a film about the Great Patriotic War.
As noted by Roman Babushkin, the Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India, bike rallies to celebrate Victory are regularly organised in Russia, but this is the first time such an event has taken place in India.
One of the founders of the Delhi Bikers Breakfast Run (DBBR) club, Ashok Sharma, added that this rally was organised in memory of the participants of the Second World War, both from Russia and India.
"It is very important to remember our ancestors and what they did. I am grateful to the Russian Embassy for the opportunity to take part in such an event," he said.
