“At the moment, we are focused on India’s lunar mission, where we can gain the best from Russia,” Jaiswal told Russian media.
He noted that four Indian astronauts are currently undergoing training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia.
India, under ISRO’s leadership, has launched several lunar missions. The most significant so far is Chandrayaan-3, which successfully performed a soft landing near the Moon’s south pole in August 2023 — a historic achievement for the South Asian nation.
