"Arrived safely in Moscow to begin my official visit to the Russian Federation. Over the next few days, I’ll be meeting President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new areas of cooperation," Ibrahim wrote on X.
The Malaysian leader added that he would also meet with "Russian industry players" to attract more investment to his country and participate in the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," which will be held in the Russian city of Kazan from May 13-18.
"Looking forward to deepening friendships and bringing home outcomes that deliver lasting gains for Malaysia and its people," he said.
Earlier this week, the Kremlin press office said that Putin was scheduled to hold talks with Anwar Ibrahim on May 14 in Moscow.
