Russia's approach remains unchanged — the new security architecture must be equal and indivisible, the president said.
"It is important to make our continent a space of peace and stability, an example of sustainable economic, social and cultural development," Putin said during his address to the participants of the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives in Charge of Security Issues in Moscow.
The basis for creating a universal security system on the continent could be such interaction formats as the SCO, the EAEU, and the CSTO, the leader said, adding that when building joint work in the field of security, it is necessary to rely on historical experience and lessons of the past.
"Just recently, on May 9, we solemnly celebrated the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The celebration in Moscow became yet another symbol of unification around the ideals of the Great Victory, and once again demonstrated the determination of our friends and partners to form a safer world, to constructive cooperation and jointly resolve global problems," Putin said.
