Any joint statement by the leaders of the group on cross-border terrorism will be significant for India in the wake of its recent Operation Sindoor, the report said on Wednesday.
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated following the terrorist attack near the town of Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 people, including a Nepalese citizen.
On May 7, India launched missile strikes on Pakistan in an operation codenamed Sindoor. The Indian Defense Ministry said that the operation targeted only terrorist infrastructure and not Pakistani military facilities.
The two countries announced a ceasefire on May 10 but have since traded accusations of several violations. On May 29, Modi said that Operation Sindoor was not yet finished, which was confirmed by Indian Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Anil Chauhan on Tuesday.
