"We have exceeded the initially stated demand from India by 1.5 times and already shipped 1.5 million tons of complex and compound fertilizers to India between December and February. Overall, since the beginning of the year, we have supplied 42% more fertilizers to our Indian partners than we did last year," said Guryev.
He also noted that fertilizer exports from Russia to African countries are on the rise. Over the past three years, Russia has increased its fertilizer shipments to Africa by 50%, reaching 1.9 million tons in 2024. "South Africa alone accounts for up to half of all these exports annually," Guryev emphasized.
Earlier in July, during the Russia-Brazil business forum, Mikhail Sterkin, the Deputy CEO for Sales and Marketing at PhosAgro, mentioned that the company plans to boost its fertilizer exports to Brazil, India, and Africa.
