The Hague is hosting the 109th session of the OPCW Executive Council from July 8-11.
“The Russian side continues to record not only cases of Ukrainian nationalists using toxic chemicals and chemical weapons but also the existence of developed system for their mass production in Ukraine," Tarabrin said during his address to the session, the text of which was obtained by Sputnik.
In this regard, Tarabrin officially informed OPCW member states that the Permanent Representation has submitted a letter from the Russian deputy minister of industry and trade, requesting the OPCW Technical Secretariat Director-General to 'send experts to Russia for a visit to provide technical assistance in accordance with paragraph 38(e) of Article VIII of the Convention'.
The situation around the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine is of serious concern, Tarabrin said, adding that the "War Party" in Europe continues its campaign to falsify further alleged evidence of Russia's use of toxic chemicals in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).
