Full Ban on Russia's Gasoline Exports Possible If Needed - Deputy Prime Minister

ALMETYEVSK, Russia, July 11 (Sputnik) - A complete ban on gasoline exports from Russia is not ruled out if the situation demands it, with a decision expected in the coming days, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday.

Russian authorities are considering a potential ban on gasoline exports, including for oil companies, in August-September if prices rise sharply, a source familiar with the outcomes of a meeting on petroleum products chaired by Novak told Sputnik on Wednesday.
Relevant agencies are technically prepared for the ban but will continue to monitor the situation, the source added.
"If we consider it appropriate, if the situation requires it, we will impose an export ban," Novak told reporters.
