India's Diamond Imports Up by Nearly Third in July

The shipment of diamonds to India in July increased 28% year-on-year to 9.908 million carats, according to the latest data from the country’s Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

In monetary terms, the country's diamond imports reached $1.151 billion last month, which is 26% higher than the figure for the same period last year.
At the same time, India's diamond exports in July rose by 9% year-on-year to 9.231 million carats.
In monetary terms, the figure increased by 17.8% to $1.072 billion.
