Russian air defense systems destroyed 54 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions last night, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"During the past night from 23:00 Moscow time [20:00 GMT] on August 21, 2025 to 07:00 Moscow time [04:00 GMT] on August 22, 2025, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 54 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: 19 drones over the Bryansk Region, 11 drones over the Volgograd Region, eight drones over the Rostov Region, seven drones over the Voronezh Region, three drones each over the Belgorod and Oryol Regions, two drones over the Kursk Region and one drones over the Republic of Crimea," the ministry said.
