The EEF will take place from September 3-6 on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The 2025 motto of the event is "The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity."
Representatives from over 70 countries and territories are participating in the forum, with the largest delegations coming from Vietnam, India, China, Laos, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Last year, over 7,000 people from 75 countries attended the forum, including business representatives and diplomats from 16 countries that are unfriendly towards Russia. These countries included Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, France, Switzerland, and Japan.
The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic has said that it expects more agreements to be signed at the 2025 forum than at last year's, where 313 agreements worth over 5.5 trillion rubles ($68.2 billion) were concluded, including 27 with foreign organizations.
Over 100 events have been scheduled within the business program of the EEF.
The program will include business dialogues between Russia and China, India, Thailand, Myanmar and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Russian President Vladimir Putin will speak at the forum's plenary session on September 5 at 13:00 local time (03:00 GMT). Putin will be joined by Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Mongolia Gombojav Zandanshatar and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Li Hongzhong.
