India’s Meat Exports to Russia Jump More Than Thirtyfold in July

India’s meat exports to Russia surged in July, rising 33 times compared with the same month last year, according to Sputnik's analysis of Indian Commerce and Industry Ministry data.

In July, the shipments reached $21.2 million, up from just $640,000 a year earlier.
For the first seven months of 2024, India’s beef sales to Russia totalled $62.8 million — 2.6 times higher than the same period last year.
Overall, India exported $401 million worth of meat in July, compared with $310 million a year earlier. The top buyers were Vietnam ($81 million), Malaysia ($54 million) and the UAE ($37 million). Russia ranked seventh.
