FM Lavrov to Have About 10 Meetings on UNGA Sidelines on 1st Day of Visit to New York

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will have about 10 meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly events on the first day of his visit to New York, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

"The working day begins — more than 10 meetings. And these are not brief meetings, these are full-scale negotiations ... The schedule may change, maybe it will be a little more, but it is unlikely to be less," Zakharova told Sputnik Radio.

A meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected on Wednesday, the spokeswoman added.
