Russian air defense forces shot down 32 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the Belgorod, Smolensk, and Bryansk regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

"Over the past night, air defense alert systems destroyed 32 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: 15 UAVs were shot down over the Belgorod and Bryansk regions each, and two over the Smolensk region," the statement says.

The ministry said all drones were of the aviation type and were deactivated before they could cause any damage.
