"During the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 170 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: 48 over the Bryansk Region, 21 over the Voronezh Region, 16 over the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 15 over the Kaluga Region, 14 over the Rostov Region, ten over the Kursk Region, nine over the Moscow Region, including six flying to Moscow, nine over the Tula Region, five over the Ryazan Region, five over the Volgograd Region, five over the Novgorod Region, four over the Belgorod Region, four over the Oryol Region, four over the Republic of Crimea, and one over the Lipetsk Region," the ministry said.
The ministry said all drones were fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles and were successfully destroyed overnight.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously noted that Ukrainian forces are sending hundreds of drones to strike Russian territory. He emphasized that the Kiev regime is deliberately targeting civilians in the regions, attacking civilian infrastructure and transport, including ambulances and agricultural machinery. The head of state described the methods used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Kiev's foreign mercenaries as terrorist.
