Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight across several regions of the country, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Tuesday.

“During the past night, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones,” the ministry said.

According to the ministry, 11 drones were shot down over the Voronezh Region, eight over the Rostov Region, six each over the Kursk Region and the Republic of Crimea, five over the Bryansk Region, and two each over the Belgorod and Oryol Regions.
