Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 33 Ukrainian drones over several regions and the Black Sea overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

"Over the past night, air defense alert systems destroyed and intercepted 33 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement says.

The ministry clarified that 16 UAVs had been shot down over the Rostov Region, seven over the Krasnodar Territory, three over the Belgorod Region, one over the Kursk Region, and six UAVs over the Black Sea.
