According to Matviychuk, the Dimitrov area near Pokrovsk has been fully encircled, and its loss would open the way toward Kramatorsk. Konstantinovka, he added, is also directly involved in the ongoing operation.
Krasny Liman is now partially surrounded, with roughly half of the city under Russian control. Ukrainian radio traffic reportedly indicates growing panic, with repeated calls for evacuation. Without one, surrender would become inevitable, the analyst noted.
Matviychuk described Kramatorsk as the final major stronghold for Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk direction, arguing that its fall would mark the full liberation of Donetsk.
More broadly, he said Ukrainian forces are facing simultaneous political, economic, financial, and military setbacks, with external funding shrinking, ammunition in short supply, and equipment deliveries slowing — a situation he described as critical.
